Photography class

Perhaps 9 out of 10 travellers now carry a camera on holiday. If you are new to digital photography you might enjoy learning a bit about your camera.
Rufus Reade is running one day camera workshops in Edinburgh on 12 March. These cost £5 for those who have booked a tour with Rufus Reade Tours in 2012. If you have not booked a tour and would like to come there is a fee of £40. Your fee will cover tea/coffee/vegetable soup & bread and cheese lunch. The day will run from 10 until 4. If the weather allows us some of the day may be spent out of doors.

Subjects to be covered will include:

What do all the dials and buttons on my camera do.
My photographs are too dark
My photographs are too light.
How to turn off the flash.
How to take photographs in poor light without using flash.
Difficult lighting situation (ie most of the time!).
Some discussion about composition.
How to manage the photographs once I get home.

Please bring your camera with you.
Due to the very large number of photographs it is possible to take in even one hour please don't expect all your photographs to be examined, but we hope to take some of your photographs, and project them up so that we can look at what has gone wrong and what has been a success.
This workshop is intended for those who feel they are beginning to explore their compact/bridge cameras. Maximum of 10 particpants per workshop. There are currently 2 places left.

Please call Rufus Reade if you want to discuss dates and attendance. 0131 554 1078.

The next workshop is on Saturday 12 May 2012 at 40 Pilrig Street, Edinburgh EH6 5AL. Subsequent workshops can be arranged according to demand.
